Sarah McDowell is the Coordinator for the West Bloomfield School School District Early Childhood and School age Childcare. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Baker College of Auburn Hills and will obtain her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education with an administration credential/certification. She has been in the early childhood field since 2010, from teaching to mentoring, and administration for the WBPA program since 2022. She lives in Oakland County with her husband and two children where they enjoy relaxing in their backyard during the Michigan summer months. Sarah’s main goal at WBPA is to support the program by working closely with educators and staff to ensure that each child’s developmental needs are met and creating a positive and engaging learning environment where children can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Through mentoring and professional development, she can help teachers implement best practices in early childhood education through the HighScope curriculum as well as collaborating with families to foster strong partnerships that support each child's individual learning journey. Her purpose as WBPA is to ensure that every child has the tools and opportunities they need to succeed as they begin their educational path.
