Incoming 6th Grade Information
We'd like to extend a warm, Laker Nation welcome to our incoming 6th grade families as they prepare for the exciting transition to middle school. This page will be your resource for all information related to that transition including important resources and meeting links as we work together to make your student's transition as smooth as possible.
Welcome Rising WBMS 6th Graders!
We are excited to have you join our family in the Fall of 2025
Mrs. Susan Chang & Mr. Jermaine Evans (assistant principal) will visit the Rising 6th Graders at the elementary buildings, schedule to follow.
If your 5th grader is currently in advanced math and doing well, we will schedule your student into the appropriate math class.
The Course Selection Booklet, which includes core classes and elective descriptions, will be posted soon.
Join us at the WBMS Rising 6th Grader Parent Info Night is Tuesday, January 28th! The meeting will be held from 6-7 p.m., at West Bloomfield Middle School, 6000 Orchard Lake Rd, West Bloomfield Township, MI 48322.

Dates & Times for 6th Graders to Get Acquainted with Middle School
(2025 dates will be posted soon):
- 6th Grade Bridge Program
- August 4 & 5 (two day program) 3 hours in the AM - times coming soon
- FREE for all incoming 6th graders
- 6th Grade Orientation 9am-3pm (date coming soon)
- Drop in & have your school photo taken, pick up your lanyard & ID, a copy of your daily schedule will be provided.
- Walk through the school & find your classrooms
- Pre-Purchase a Yearbook & House Photo
- Purchase School Spirit Wear
- 6th Grade Parent Meeting
7pm-8pm in the WBMS Auditeria (date coming soon)
