I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of your children. I, along with my staff, will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all children and providing support systems to ensure they are met. We will address school culture through our Social Justice Club, student assemblies and Capturing Kids Hearts. We will set high standards for teacher performance and continue to find ways to engage our surrounding community. It is our goal at West Bloomfield Middle School that all students achieve to their highest potential.
Middle school is a vital bridge between elementary school and high school. It is also a period when young people, often for the first time in their lives, begin actively seeking a sense of purpose and place. It is our job to provide them with these opportunities, while also keeping them engaged, challenged and supported. Our children are gifts with limitless potential. Through the efforts of our entire school community, we can help them to develop their own unique skills and talents and prepare them for continued success far beyond their early adolescent years.
While we embrace the challenges of the future, we continue to cherish and celebrate the traditions of the past. We hope your visit to our website will give you a quick snapshot of life at our school. My name is Lisa Graff and I work at West Bloomfield Middle School. I have been working in West Bloomfield Schools as a counselor and now Associate Principal since 1996. Prior to my current role in West Bloomfield, I worked as an elected education leader in Washington, DC. I graduated from the University of Florida with a BA and EdS and the University of South Florida with a Masters. When I am not working I enjoy walking my dog, fishing, traveling and watching my son play sports.
