Principal's Welcome
Hello Laker Nation!
As the principal of West Bloomfield High School, I am excited to be a partner in the academic, social, emotional growth of our students as they look toward life after high school. As a school that is rich in diversity and experiences, it is our goal to foster a community where students exemplify collaboration, critical thinking, communication, and contribution in ways that learners can see themselves succeed while enriching the experiences of others. I strongly believe that all students can learn and succeed at high levels. Through community support, inclusive curricula, student voice, and opportunities to learn through experience, our students will thrive. It is a true joy for me to be a part of this journey.
I grew up just north of here in Waterford, and still live there today with my wife, Jackie, our two sons, Sawyer and Emerson, and our dog, Riley. We are a West Bloomfield family though, as my wife teaches at Gretchko and our two sons both attend school in West Bloomfield. I am passionate about being a lifelong learner through experiences and opportunities. The more that you do, and the more that you are exposed to, the more you will learn about yourself and others. My undergraduate degree is from Central Michigan University (Fire Up, Chips!) and my graduate degrees are from U of M Dearborn and Oakland University. I love the outdoors and spend as much of my time there as possible with my family as we travel with our truck and camper. I also love to cook, and consider my best meals to be made on the smoker.
Please feel free to reach out any time.
Sincerely,
Eric Pace
