West Bloomfield Student-Athletes Commit to Colleges
West Bloomfield High School hosted a College Commitment event on May 8 for two student-athletes that plan to pursue athletics at the collegiate level. These two athletes are Derrielle Lee and Kenneth White.
Derrielle Lee plans to attend Tiffin University to join the track and field team. She is the daughter of Ronae and Derrick Lee. She plans to major in Pre-Physical Therapy in hopes of eventually attending graduate school to become a Physical Therapist.
Derrielle said, “I have learned that if you put in the work it will show in your results and if you want something, claim it and go get it. I want to thank my family, teammates, coaches, and friends for their support in my endeavors especially my parents, and a special thanks to Coach Doug from Waza track club. Track & Field has helped me in many ways and is one of my favorite sports. I love it and can’t wait to continue running track at Tiffin University.”
Kenneth White plans to attend Henry Ford Community College to play baseball. He is the son of Alisha Elam and Kenneth White.
Kenneth said, “I am truly appreciative and thankful for my parents, my family, and all of my high school and summer coaches for shaping and molding me into the baseball player and young man that I have become.”
