Abbott student awarded President Volunteer Award

Caiden Webb, a sixth-grader at Abbott Middle School was recently awarded the President Volunteer Service Award from the Prudential Foundation. He was nominated for this award by Abbott teacher, Blaine McDowell, his third and fifth-grade teacher.

Caiden is a cancer survivor who has given hundreds of hours of his time to the Kids Kicking Cancer program. He has raised between $5,000-$10,000 over the five years he has belonged to this organization. He has participated in numerous demonstrations, social media events, and other fundraising events.

Blaine McDowell, Abbott Middle School teacher, said, "Caiden continues to inspire me with his courage, his dedication, and his generosity. He is truly making a positive difference."
