Brooke Taylor named Coca-Cola Scholar

Brooke Taylor, West Bloomfield High School senior was recently named a Coca-Cola Scholar for the 2019 class of the Coca‑Cola Scholars Program. Brooke will be receiving a $20,000 college scholarship to use toward her education. She will also be invited to attend a special recognition ceremony in Atlanta, GA in early April. 

Brooke is one of 150 students recognized with this honor. Previously, she was among the 1,896 semifinalists who were selected from the pool of over 95,000 initial applicants.

Brooke is the daughter of Carolyn and Greg Goss. She plans to attend the University of Michigan and double major in kinesiology and dance. Her extra-curricular activities include being President of the WBHS African American Awareness Club, a member of the Varsity Pom Pon Team, a student dance teacher at Legacy Dance Studio, a competitive dancer, and a member of the Delta GEMS organization. Brooke also served as a Student Chairperson on the district’s United We Walk committee for 2019.
