Stinson named Director of Maintenance and Operations
The West Bloomfield School District is proud to announce that Ted Stinson is being promoted to serve as Director of Maintenance and Operations effectively immediately. Mr. Stinson previously served as Supervisor of Facility Operations since 2013. The West Bloomfield School District Board of Education confirmed the position on Monday, Oct. 22.
As part of Mr. Stinson’s new role, he will be responsible for the overall planning, scheduling, operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the physical plans for the district. Mr. Stinson will be assuming the day to day oversight of projects associated with the $120 million bond from 2017.
Bill Mull, Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations said, “Mr. Stinson is well respected throughout the district and an incredibly hard worker. We know he brings years of insight and experience to his new position. We have full confidence that he will succeed in his new role and represent the district’s best interests at all times.”
Mr. Stinson began his time in the West Bloomfield School District as a substitute custodian in 1993. He has also served as full-time custodian and plant engineer for the district. He spent time during his tenure working in Doherty Elementary School, Ealy Elementary School, Abbott Middle School, Orchard Lake Middle School, and West Bloomfield High School.
