It is my privilege to return to Sheiko (Green Elementary), after spending 26 years here before retiring for the first time in 2011. It was and is, truly, my home. Since then I have done consulting work for several school districts and been the interim principal at Doherty Elementary and West Bloomfield High School.
I received my Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Michigan University, my Master's Degree from Oakland University, and my Education Specialist's Degree from Wayne State University.
My husband Paul and I have been married for over 50 years and we have a son and daughter. Since retiring we have traveled extensively and enjoyed visiting with our three grandchildren.
I believe that the word "principal" is an adjective and not a noun--and, therefore, I am the "principal" teacher at Sheiko Elementary. with a class of over 480 students and 60 adults. Together-parents, staff, and students--we can build a positive learning environment where all students are able to learn to the best of their ability.
Know that I have an open-door policy and welcome your input and suggestions.
