Tuition Enrollment
Tuition enrollment criteria
The Board of Education assesses tuition for attendance in WBSD schools by students who are not entitled to receive a free, public education in this District and whose enrollment has been approved by the Board. Tuition rates are determined and approved annually, and represent the cost per student within the limits established by the law. Please see the Board of Education Policy on Tuition Income (Policy 6150, adopted March 27, 2017, M.C.L. 380.1401 et seq.).
Tuition Enrollment Criteria:
- Report card grades that are congruent with Criteria-Based School of Choice (SOC) criteria OR a minimum of a 2.5 or higher grade point average (GPA) in all four core content area classes (mathematics, English language arts, science, and social studies).
- Must enter with satisfactory behavior records, including no suspensions in the previous two years.
- Agree to the understanding that transportation is not provided.
- Submit tuition contract prior to the start of the school year, which includes paying half of the tuition fee plus $100 processing fee at the time of enrollment (non-refundable), and paying the remainder of tuition within 30 days of enrollment.
