STEAM- Schools of Choice
Criteria-based STEAM programs for Schools of Choice
Please submit the following:

Report Cards for semester 2 must be submitted as soon as possible.

Discipline record/log entries must be submitted as soon as possible

Submit documents to: soc@wbsd.org
Expectations for Schools of Choice STEAM candidates include the following:

Oakland County resident
-
Strong grades in the four major content areas (Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science)

A positive discipline report, with no suspensions

A strong score on approved benchmark assessment: NWEA, iReady, Star
STEAM Assessment
All applicants will need fulfill one of the requirements below:
Submit a benchmark assessment report (Spring 2024 or Winter 2024 NWEA MAP Growth Reading Assessment/iReady Diagnostic Results Report, Renaissance Star Reading)
Oakland Early College
If you are interested in applying to Oakland Early College, they have a different admissions process. Families are asked to do the following:
1. Submit the Pre-Application
2. Set-up a Family Meeting
3. Schedule a Final Interview
4. Submit the Formal Application
5. Attend Final Interview

West Bloomfield School District (WBSD) is participating in Schools of Choice Section 105 for the 2023-2024 school year. "Section 105" means that applicants must reside in any of the 27 Oakland County school districts, other than the West Bloomfield School District. WBSD does not accept applications from residents who live outside of Oakland County.
