Schools of Choice
The West Bloomfield School District offers two Schools of Choice options with limited openings for 2023-2024 school year.
Option 1 -STEAM
Criteria-based STEAM programs for Schools of Choice
- Grades 9-10 at West Bloomfield High School
APPLY HERE
Applications will be accepted online, May 15 – July 7, 2023
- Report Cards for most recent semester must be submitted as soon as possible and no later than the day of testing.
- Discipline record/log entries must be submitted as soon as possible and no later than the day of testing.
- A copy of IEP/504 accommodations if applicable
- Submit these records to: soc@wbsd.org OR in person on the day of testing.

Option 2 - K-2 Schools of Choice
- Grades K-2 at Gretchko Elementary and Doherty Elementary
The application window for the 2023-2024 school year has closed.
Please check back in January of 2024 for future opportunities.
Oakland Early College
If you are interested in applying to Oakland Early College, they have a different admissions process. Families are asked to do the following:
1. Submit the Pre-Application
2. Set-up a Family Meeting
3. Schedule a Final Interview
4. Submit the Formal Application
5. Attend Final Interview

West Bloomfield School District (WBSD) is participating in Schools of Choice Section 105 for the 2023-2024 school year. "Section 105" means that applicants must reside in any of the 27 Oakland County school districts, other than the West Bloomfield School District. WBSD does not accept applications from residents who live outside of Oakland County.
