Michigan Merit Curriculum

To earn a diploma from Oakland Early College, students must complete the following requirements:

• Complete the Michigan Merit Curriculum 
  • Any earned high school credit will be transferred to OEC from previous school(s)
  • Any AP credit may be awarded college credit by OCC
  • 
• Earn a minimum of 30 college credits (students choose which college courses they take, no requirements from OEC)
• In their final year at OEC students must also successfully complete:
  • A 40 hr work internship
  • Professional Portfolio
  • Capstone Project
  • Budget Project
