Return to Learn Roadmap
As you are all aware, Governor Whitmer shared her “MI Safe Schools: Return to School Roadmap" in early July. This plan was developed in partnership with educators, legislators and public health officials to ensure the safety of students, staff and families as we eagerly look forward to the start of the 2020-21 school year and the return of in-person instruction.
Canvas
New for 2020-21 is our learning management system (LMS), Canvas. Learn more about Canvas at the link below:
Cloud Care
New to the district for 2020-21 school year is Cloud Care, an opportunity for families in need of additional childcare offerings during the half of the school day that their student(s) are not participating in in-person instruction.
The district and school Classroom to Cloud (C2C) planning teams have met weekly since mid-May to carefully plan for our Return to School and, where feasible, in-person instruction. The Governor’s Return to School Roadmap, which aligns with the Mi Safe Start Plan, has been the driver in our decision-making, along with the feedback we have received from our staff and families. We are making the following recommendations to our Board of Education regarding our West Bloomfield School District C2C Return to School and feel confident the plans are reflective of and responsive to the needs of our community.
