Mrs. Lisa Fenberg

My name is Lisa Fenberg and I work in the special education resource room.  Roosevelt is a great place to work!

I graduated from Michigan State University in 1999 with a degree in special education.  I am certified to teach special education K-12 as well as general education K-5.

After college, I spent five years in Portland, Oregon as the Resource Room teacher in an elementary school.  I worked with students with a variety of challenges including learning disabilities, speech/language impairments, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder (and/or Hyperactivity) and emotional impairments.  I received my Master of Science in special education from Portland State University.  After Portland, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where I worked at a private school for students with learning disabilities.  There I taught elementary and middle school students reading, writing, math, social studies, science and study skills.  I taught in NC for two years before moving back home to Michigan in 2006.  My husband and I have two amazing sons as well as an adorable dog.

I really enjoy working with the students, families and staff at Roosevelt!

Please feel free to contact me with any question and/or concerns.
