Mrs. Linda Trotter


Mrs. Trotter has been teaching in the West Bloomfield Schools for the past 18 years. She is currently is the Orchestra Director at Orchard Lake Middle and West Bloomfield High Schools. She also serves as an adjunct professor of music at Marygrove College teaching string pedagogy and private lessons. Previously she was the Orchestra and Band Director in the Detroit Public Schools. Additionally, her conducting positions have included MASTA (Michigan American Strings Teacher) Orchestra Camp, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, the Dearborn Youth Symphony Orchestra (Director and Conductor), and the Detroit Public Schools Honor’s Orchestra.  In 2010, Mrs. Trotter was recognized as MSBOA District IV and the  MSBOA State “Orchestra Teacher of the Year.”

As a violinist, Mrs. Trotter is a member and has been a guest soloist with of  several of the local orchestras.  She has played in back up and/or recording orchestras for Harry Belefonte, Fred Hammond, Aretha Franklin, Lori Morgan, Smokey Robinson, Barry White and Stevie Wonder.
