I have been teaching in WB since 1999. In addition, I have worked with the alternative high school, Oakland Early College, and now at WBHS, teaching the literary arts of READING, WRITING, and SPEAKING. I hope to inspire all my learners to aspire to be the best they can be and reach for the stars!
My educational roots stem from Central Michigan University where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting/Cinematic Arts and English. My fondest memories are acting in Bush Theater/Moore Hall TV, reporting for News Central, and being a DJ for WCHP (Alternative Radio)! When I came to the "D", I furthered my English Education at Wayne State University, earning Master's of English Education and Education Specialist degrees in Reading, Language, and Literature.
When not teaching, I am a mom. With the best of two different worlds, I have a senior stepdaughter, graduating with honors and a son with special needs. As a result, I am able to help support your sons/daughters with diverse modes of instruction.
The best way to contact me is via my email!
