Mrs. Karen Kile

Hello, welcome to my web page!  I am Karen Kile and I am one of the 4th grade teachers here at Scotch. I have over 25 years of elementary teaching experience, with the last 19 years being spent right here in W. Bloomfield.  I also taught for 10 years in South Lyon, and well as a few other teaching spots along the way.  I have high expectations for myself, my students, and my parents.  I firmly believe that every child can learn and be successful in school, and I strive to help each and every one of my students achieve personal success.
I was born and raised in the small west Michigan town of Otsego (Go Bulldogs).  I attended Michigan State University (Go Green), where I met Steve, my wonderful husband of 35 years. We have three adult children, Kelly, Stacy, and Nathan, and we live in Livonia.  I am an animal lover, and I volunteer with an animal rescue organization.  Our family currently has both cats and dogs of our own, plus other foster dogs that we may have at any given time.  I am also a nature lover, and I enjoy spending time working in my flower garden.  Finally, I am a huge sports fan and am devoted to my Detroit teams.
