Miss Alyssa Phillips

Dear Families,

My name is Alyssa Phillips and I am excited to have your child as part of our classroom family.

This is my fourth year teaching.  I taught elementary school age students in an ASD classroom in Lincoln Park before coming to West Bloomfield.  One of the reasons I was drawn to joining Doherty Elementary is because of the commitment to the students having the opportunity to learn, laugh and grow together in a safe place.  I am committed to creating a warm and nurturing environment so your child can be successful.  I promise to see your child’s potential, build on his/her strengths, challenge him/her to meet his/her goals, and support him/her in the learning process.

I graduated with a BS in Neuroscience and Biology in 2013 and subsequently received a MA in Autism/Cognitive Impairment and Childhood Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2015.

I believe communication is key to ensure your child’s success. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
