Mrs. Heather Vieder

My name is Heather Vieder.  I am a Speech-Language Pathologist at Abbott Middle School. I have been working in the district since 2011. I have worked at many different schools and with many different ages (preschool to 8th grade) .  Speech-Language Pathologists evaluate, teach and collaborate with students who have a  speech-language impairment.  This may include articulation, voice, hearing, fluency, and/or language.  Language deficits are difficulties with either, or both receptive (what you understand) and expressive language (how you talk).  They can include errors in phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics of language.  Difficulties in these area impact a student's academic performance and ability to interact with peers and adults.
