Summer Facilities Update

Summer Facilities Update

Our West Bloomfield School District school playgrounds are now open to the general community following the Oakland County Health Division’s announcement. Visitors are still required to practice social distancing (six feet apart), wear a face covering, and frequently wash hands/use hand sanitizer.

The WBSD does NOT plan to regularly disinfect the playgrounds, so the playgrounds and equipment will be used at the individual’s own discretion and risk.

Due to restrictions/protocols in place to keep our student-athletes safe during their summer workouts, we are closing the track and stadium to the general public between 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 4-7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. There will be a number of student-athletes on the field at that time with students following a specific check-in procedure for each work out. Restricting public use during these specific times will help keep our student-athletes and community members safe.

The usual summer outdoor athletic field procedures are now reinstated and outdoor facilities are open. Please practice social distancing (six feet apart), wear a face covering, and frequently wash hands/use hand sanitizer.
