Join us for a reimagined high school summer learning opportunity! Students will be taught by certified teachers with WBSD curriculum resources with special education and ESL support will be available.
High School summer learning opportunities take the form of three different offerings allowing students options to best serve their needs.

In-Person Laker EXCELeration Details
EXperience - Community - Education - Life-Long Learning
- Open to current 9th and 10th graders who need to recover credit in two or more classes from semester 1
- Classes offered:
- Algebra 1 , Geometry, American Lit, English Lit, Integrated Physical Science, Civics, US History and Biology
- Students can earn up to 1 credit (.5 credit per class)
- Daily holistic learning sessions to improve long-term success
- Activities designed to help build relationships
- Weekly all-school field trip
- Daily seminar period to support student learning.
- Location: West Bloomfield High School
- 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- June 16 - July 9 AND/OR July 19 - August 13 (M-F)
- April 19 - May 21 Registration Window
- Engaging electives based on student interest
Additional Information
- Socially distanced classrooms, lunch and recess
- CDC safety protocols will be followed
- Breakfast and lunch will be provided (Funded by FDA Grant)
- Transportation will be provided upon request while registering
- Multiple field trips planned

In-Person Grade Replacement, Credit Recovery
WBSD high school students who have completed 9th-11th grade and need to retake a course for credit
- Traditional WBSD Summer School
- Open to 9th-11th graders who need to recover credit two or more classes from semester 1
- Classes offered:
- Algebra 1, Geometry, American Lit, English Lit, Integrated Physical Science, Civics, US History and Biology
- Students can earn up to 1 credit (.5 credit per class)
- Location: West Bloomfield High School

Virtual Credit Advancement
WBSD high school students who have completed 9th-11th grade and are interested in completing a course over the summer for credit.
