Summer Learning
New for 2021 is our district's latest offering of summer learning opportunities for students in grades K-12. This refreshed approach will have students of all ages growing and expanding their educational skills through a series of innovative activities and engaging themes. These experiences are available for both in-person and virtual learning at the elementary, middle school and high school levels.
All this is being offered at NO COST to families!

A Reimagined Summer Learning Experience - Multiple Ways to Learn
In-Person
- Taught by certified teachers with WBSD curriculum resources
- Socially distanced classrooms, lunch and recess
- CDC safety protocols will be followed
- Multiage classrooms and flexible grouping
- Engaging theme weeks
- Breakfast and lunch will be provided
- Transportation will be provided upon request while registering
- Special education and ESL support will be available
- Multiple field trips will be planned

Virtual

Summer School Safety Protocols
- Small class sizes K-11 (approximately 12-16 students per class)
- Students will remain with their cohort class
- Masks will be worn by students and staff
- Social distancing
- Classroom and bus sanitation daily
- Student hand washing and hand sanitizing
- Lunch safety protocols with plastic barriers and social distancing
- Each building will have an isolation room for ill students
- Seating charts will be in place to assist in contract tracing
