Science

Science is the study of the natural world and the processes used to establish, extend, refine, and revise the ever-growing body of knowledge. For our students, it involves observing, studying, and experimenting to better understand the world around them - from the smallest cell in the body to the largest scope of the universe. Students work to master the fundamental aspects of life science, physical science, and earth science while understanding how systems work to shape the aspects of their daily lives.

The mastery of science is crucial for navigating today's world and to be well equipped for the 21st Century. Our students are expected to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, to be able to access and analyze information, and possess natural curiosity and imagination. The West Bloomfield School District is committed to helping each child reach the highest level of competency in science, from kindergarten through their senior year in high school.
