Dr. Gerald D. Hill completed his B.S. and M.A., in Elementary Education at the University of Minnesota and his Ph.D. in Administrative Leadership at the University of North Texas. Dr. Hill began his career as a teacher in 1973 in the Fridley Public Schools, MN. He then worked in the Garland Independent School District (suburban Dallas), TX, for fifteen years as a teacher, principal and Executive Director of Elementary Schools. He later worked in the Rockwood School District, St. Louis County, MO, as Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. Dr. Hill has sixteen years of previous superintendent experience at Community Consolidated School District 146 and Glenview School District 34, both in the suburban Chicago area. The West Bloomfield Board of Education named Dr. Hill as Superintendent effective July, 2012.
Dr. Hill has been married for 47 years to his wife Cynthia, and has one married adult son, Cory (wife Katie). Dr. and Mrs. Hill are also the proud grandparents of two granddaughters, Emma and Sienna who live in California.
