Gun Safety and Safe Gun Storage

WBSD held a very impactful Gun Safety Forum on April 11, 2023 at West Bloomfield Middle School from 6-8 p.m.

Thank you to speakers Karen McDonald Oakland County Prosecutor, Michael Patton Chief of Police, West Bloomfield Police Dept., and Kimberly Root Office of School Safety, Michigan State Police.

The speakers shared alarming statistics, suggestions for change, and overall methods for keeping our kids safe. Each of these entities are working diligently towards finding meaningful solutions to combat gun violence. The Gun Violence Commission, headed by Karen McDonald, will be publishing its final protocol during the summer of 2023..
