Board of Education

The board is responsible for carrying out mandatory laws as expressed in the Michigan Constitution and Michigan Statutes, Federal Laws and Regulations relating to schools and school districts.

The three main responsibilities of the board are:

  1. Hiring the superintendent
  2. Adopting policies
  3. Adopting the budget

March 23, 2020 Board of Education Meeting Information:

The March 23 regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting will take place virtually via a Zoom conference call. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Members of the community are welcome to participate in the meeting by visiting and entering the code 843-871-853.

Public comment will also be available for members of the West Bloomfield School District community to provide feedback and notes to the Board via a Google Form.

Please submit your public comments via this form by 7 p.m. on Monday, March 23 to ensure the Board receives them.

Following the meeting, a recording of the meeting will be posted to the district website, and the district’s Facebook page.
