The West Bloomfield School District is pleased with your decision to pursue a S.T.E.A.M. Pathway endorsement in the Fine Arts. This opportunity enables you to build an individualized course of study in the fine arts and produce a Capstone project developed by you and a staff advisor.  In today’s global economy and rapid changing world your ability to think creatively and problem solve is crucial. Steve Jobs noted the arts marriage to technology when he wrote, “It is in Apple’s DNA that technology alone is not enough—it’s technology married with arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the results that make our heart sing.”

The Fine Arts Pathway offers you experiences in digital media arts, visual arts, drama, instrumental and vocal music performance ensembles. Additional opportunities include AP Music Theory, AP Studio Art, and Video/Radio Production through project based learning.

After completion of two successful years in the fine art discipline(s) and earning a C or higher, you are asked to present a capstone project that showcases your knowledge and experiences in the Fine Arts. The Fine Arts Department will host recitals, exhibitions, or theatrical productions in which results of creative your work will be featured.
