Hello! I am honored to be teaching your child this year. I have been teaching since 2003 and have experience teaching second, third and fourth grades. While the majority of my teaching experience has been at Scoth, I have also taught in Dearborn Heights for three years.
I attended The University of Michigan for my undergraduate degree. Go blue! I received my master's degree from Eastern Michigan University in educational leadership. I had dreams of becoming a principal, but realized I would miss being in the classroom.
Personally, I am the biggest lover of nature and enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. My husband, two sons (six and eight) and I love to spend time at our cottage in Manistee, in addition to playing chauffeur to our busy "sports-playing" boys.
My teaching passion is in building relationships with children. While academics are crucial to the success of every student, so too is building a lasting relationship with every child. I look forward to learning more about your child this year!
